Hey folks. I was just offered a Polk Audio CS245 center speaker for $75. I currently have a Polk Audio CS1 center speaker. I am having quite a hard time finding reviews, comparisons between the two. Is the CS245 worth it; is it better than the CS1? Thank you!
My Living Room 3.1 config:
Toshiba 40RV525U
Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR609
Center channel: Polk CS1
Front L/R: Paradigm Reference Studio 20
Subwoofer: Velodyne DPS-10
Rears: None

In short, yes it is better. better cabinet, better drivers, crossover components, everything. it is basically the same as the cs245i, of which there are reviews to be found. It would make your mains better as well.

thank you for your quick response!! I was thinking that the CS245 was actually inferior to my CS1 being it is older, etc. I can get the guy down to $50 on the CS245, so I guess I will go for it! Been looking for a better center channel for a while now without breaking the bank. Thanks!

Your saying they would match my Paradigms better?

Rooftop's right, the 245 is superior to the CS1. Much fuller, less bright. I don't know how it match with your Paradigms though.

Alright, great! Thank you guys for your responses. :) I thought they would be literally even - in terms of sound quality; if that the CS1 would have been a littler better. But thank you for your responses!
