So I have been waiting and waiting to see who is going to be carrying the LSiM line near me. Havent heard anything from any vendors.

The Polk website lists the LSiM's but if you try to search for a US Dealer the LSiM's are not a picklist item.

Anyone have any idea what vendors are planning to pick these up? Frys, Best Buy, Best Buy Magnolia, etc?

www.Crutchfield.com has them. It looks like they are selling because some colors are already out of stock or are listed as low stock.

Looking for physical location (i.e. Demo).

Based on my schedule dont think I will be able to get to the MI meeting that may have the LSiM's from the forum :frown:

I've never even seen the old Lsi's in a retail store.

Crutchfields has free shipping and a fantastic 60 day return policy if you are not happy with your purchase. Hard to beat an in-home demo. Their return policy is listed on their website under "Support". Here is an excerpt...

    "Our money-back guarantee
Items may be returned for any reason, opened or unopened, within 60 days. We'll be happy to give you an exchange or a refund for the full amount of the merchandise, not including original shipping charge or the $7 cost of return shipping ($50 or $100 on some large items). Just make sure the product is in like-new condition, pack it all (remote, manual, etc.) securely in the original packaging, and call us for a return authorization number. Refunds are issued to the same credit card, debit card, gift certificate, or other form of payment used in the original transaction"

Fry's Electronics is the only major/chain retailer that I'm aware of that sells the LSi series. It's where I got my first listen to the LSi's (in a not-even-close-to-optimal setup) and fell in love with them. They sound much better when setup properly in my home of course.

As for the LSiM's, I'm not sure if they will carry them. They may be a bit too high end for Fry's. However, they do carry some fairly expensive Martin Logan's (~$5000/pr), so maybe they will. I hope they do...actually, maybe I don't. If I hear them, I might be forced to get a second mortgage on my house in order to buy them.

^This is what I am referring too .

The Fry's by me has the 7's, 9's and a set of 25's (in their massive projector room no one really goes into.

They are all driven by Onkyo AVR's so power situation isn't ideal, BUT I can get my ears on em.

Also if they carry the LSiM's then one would think they would clearance out the current LSi's and I might be able to get a steal of a deal on a set of 7's, 9's or even 25's (not sure if I would get the 25's but you never know)

Crutchfield's policy is great except that return shipping costs for a pair of speakers could be quite significant. I would much prefer hearing them first at a local Best Buy/Magnolia store, for example, rather than going through the somewhat arduous process of purchasing and then possibly returning them.

Also, is it possible Polk would offer them directly from their online store?

Anyone know whether Magnolia BB will carry LSiM?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    Magnolia - I'm pretty sure I heard N O. I'll double check.

    Polk Direct - Yes.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Thanks Mark. bummer. Fair to say that none of the local B&Ms will carry them?

(not so) funny story: in 2002, I was giddy having found the Great Indoors (I think) carried the LSi15 on display (with a Denon receiver). I guess deja vu in 2011..
