Just had a guy email me asking what a pair of 2.3 TLs would be worth to me. I have a number in mind, but wanted to check with the more knowledgeable people here before I over pay for a set. So what's the high/low range on their value?

This will be all over the board from what i've seen.It all boils down to condition and how much you want them.
I just bought another set a few weeks ago for 1k that are damn nice but i know they were offered 800 by someone else before i came along. These were stock of course.
I am getting ready to sell a pair in great condition with modded xovers, dynamat etc and i know it will come down to what someone is willing to pay versus what i think they are worth. We'll see.Main Rig-Realistic AM/FM Record player 8 track boasting 4 WPC
Backup Rig-2 CH-Rogue Audio Zeus w/Factory Special Dark Mods,Joule-Electra 300ME Platinum Preamp,OPPO-105 w/Modwright Tube Mod, Auralic Aries G2.1,Polk 2.3TL,3.1TL's,Dreadnought,RTA-15TL's,1C's All Fully Modded,2xRTA-12c's ,Benchmark DAC3 HGC,Synology NAS,VPI Scout w/Dynavector DV-20XH and Rogue Audio Ares Phono Preamp,Sony PCM-R500 DAT,HHB-850 Pro CDR,Tascam CC-222SLMKII Cassette/CDR,MIT S3.3 Shotgun Cables,Shunyata Hyra-8,Shunyata and Triode Labs Power Cords
I’M OFFENDED!!!! -
I paid a grand for a mint pair with rdo-198s in them, it boils down to condition and how far away they are.
-
I paid 300.00 for a pair in fair condition all stock.
-
I paid 650.00 for my pair in October of last year, all stock in very good cosmetic condition, but also 3 blown tweetersSDA SRS 2.3tls; RDO 198's, Dynamatted, Armaflexed, Gimpod Boards, Crossovers by quadzilla: Clarity ESA 630V, Mills Resistors, Track Audio Spikes, Musky's Curly Maple Caps
CSi5, FXi5, Rythmik D15SE sub, Pro-Ject Xpression III/Ortofon MC-3 Turbo. Pro-Ject Speed Box. Pro-Ject Tube Box II -
I paid $900 for mine which were stock and in excellent conditon except for new binding posts.
All drivers functioned normally.
They're not stock anymore  - mods include new xovers with sonicaps/mills, all new RD-0198 tweeters, replaced pin blade socket with Cardas binding post, made new speaker IC, hurricane nuts installed, drivers now with mortite.
One more mod to go: replace stock 16 mH inductors with Solen 10 awg. If I sold them I doubt I would get close to what I have in them, but I plan on keeping them for a long time.
Besides, doing mods is fun and keeps me out of trouble"Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
Depending on condition and location, anywhere North of 700 and South of 1400 would be a good deal. You couldn't touch mine in any direction. They don't make these anymore.>

OK, that gives me an idea of where to start the haggling, and that's what I needed.Turntable: Empire 208

1K with the updated tweeters and otherwise excellent condition. Deduct a couple hundred for the original tweeters.

So summing it all up, it looks like anything much below $800 is a steal, and anything above around $1,000 should be evaluated based on upgrades, location, condition (ie: one owner, mint, original packing/manuals/IC). Correct?Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p

I am a new member here. I need to sell my Dad's SDA 2.3's. I posted it on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280724718690&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123 does the starting price and buy it now seem fair to you guys or too high? I would post in the sales portion, but I don't have a hundred posts and I have to get rid of these this week as my parent's house went to foreclosure... any advice and/or help would be appreciated.

The start price is fine, the BIN is a tad optimistic IMHO. You're in a good market area and will get what the market is willing to pay at this point in time. I'm going to guess $550-$650. Good luck.
