i blew out the tweeter on my rt55i the other day. its still under warranty, and i was wondering how to go about getting it replaced. for that matter, how do i get it out of the plastic covering its snapped into without damaging something?

also, i just got my first paycheck and im thinking about putting together a home theater. any suggestions? the only things ive got set right now are the 55's and the dvd player. my current receiver is a technics SA-DX750, but im probably gonna upgrade it.

    Not sure about your replacement questions, but so far as building a home theater...you will get some great service from those 55i's. I use a pair for my mains and they are great! Partner them with a good sub and you are set.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Post your replacement question in the Troubleshooting forum, you will get the help you need in there.

    There are some great prices on the RTi line right now, check your local audio/video stores.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Remove the bezel with the proper Torx screw, then, believe it or not, just use a small flathead screwdriver to 'pop' the tweeter out from the rear.
