Polk Center
Greetings,
I have a pair of Polk SDA-CRS (compact) speakers that I would like to use for the left and right channels of a home theater (5.1) system. I am driving it with a Marantz SR-7000 (110 watts) receiver, and would like to find a center speaker (new or used) that would match the SDAs.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

You could always find another set of sda crs's and use one
as your center. There is a set on ebay right now.
I have SDA1's as my fronts and SDA2's as my rears. I bought
a Polk CS400i for my center channel and I'm very happy with
my system. IMO the CS400i is a good match with SDA's.

The LSi series is also a good match for the SDA's. The LSiC is the current LSi center channel.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I don't really know about matching up with your existing speakers, but Circuit City is running some mad sales right now. Just last night I picked up 2 CSi30's for $134.99 each. Very good deal on a super speaker.Bob Mayo, on the keyboards. Bob Mayo.

Has anyone compared the sound of the CS400i directly to
the LSIC? I'm very happy with the CS400i but have wondered
if the LSIC is even better.

The LSiC is for the LSi series, and will not match any RTixx or RTxxxi series correctly. The tweeter is the main issue with matching the two series.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Thanks everyone for all the information. I ended up getting a great deal on a CSi40 at Circuit City ($250 - thanks gmorris), and will give it a try. Hopefully the tweeters will match well enough.
thanks again,
Jeff
