Shout-Out to HSU

I have to give some thanks and recognition to the fine folks at HSU Research. As part of my upcoming move to Germany, I've been figuring out which pieces of electronics can operate on the 220v over there, which pieces I will buy a transformer for, and which pieces I am going to sell.

The standard line of most companies went something like "Don't even think about it. Using a transformer will void your warranty." Which was especially laughable when talking to Sony about my six year old tv.

Peter (I think his name was) at HSU simply asked if I was comfortable using a soldering iron. When I told him yes, he immediately told me how I could go about modifying the amp's board for 220v service, and in less than five minutes I had pictures in my inbox clearly showing what needed to be done.

Every experience I have had with HSU has been exemplary and they have proven to be on par with Polk in the great sound/great price/great service trifecta, which is quite an accomplishment.

Yep, Pete was the guy. I've also talked with Poh a couple of times when nobody else had an answer to my question. Very cool, just like getting an answer from Matt himself.

Finally got my orders and flying out of here on 24 AUG. We're excited to say the least.
