Ruth Underwood. If you think you might have a buzz in your Carver ribbons, she'll find it pronto and acquaint you with it. She could've found it when she was Ruth Komanoff also.

Would Milt Jackson also be qualified?

And, does this mean you have an issue to deal with?

No issues. Almost 22 years and still right as rain. I can see Milt Jackson being a very revealing source as well. I saw him drop a mallet in the middle of a solo around 1976 at Carnegie Hall. Kept on going as if nothing happened. Part of the show?

I suspect not part of the show, but not an unusual occurrence either. Like any good percussionist, I'm sure he kept an ample supply within reach.

Sounds like you have a bad ribbon. I can't hear any buzz in my ribbons and sure don't want to look for it either!

Logical deduction says that you would not know this, unless you had an issue with your ribbon. You haven't stated otherwise and his thoughts are not far off from mine. I mean, come on....how would you know this unless you had a bad ribbon? You damned sure didn't say that a friend of yours had this experience and you have stated that you do not have a ribbon issue, so either be so kind as to say how you came to this conclusion or lose the o-holier than thou, smart **** comments.

Yeah, I know I'm on ignore and I honestly could not care less. I never liked you anyway. Other than the Givens offerings, you are generally a rude and not nice online person. But how about throwing the guys that do read a bone, the same guys who genuinely seem to want to offer help to your rude persona, and tell them why or how you came to this conclusion if you have no ribbon issues.

I read and unless you post otherwise, I am going to assume that you are full of it.

Don't really want to step in here, but if anyone read the entire thread they would see that in Post # 3 I asked:

And in Post #4 George answered:
No issues. Almost 22 years and still right as rain....

    So, when George said:
    ...Read much?

It was his typically endearing way of saying that the question had already been asked and answered in this very short thread.

I believe the first time I heard a buzzing Carver ribbon, you were still in elementary school. Go crap in your hat Tom, learn how to read, and understand why you might be on the Bozo List.

If you want to continue, this is my idea of fun.

"No issues. 22 years and still right as rain."

If this is what confounded a couple people into believing I have ribbon issues, I cannot help them.

Go grab the dunce hat and back into the corner for you, little man. I have stated that you are full of it and your apparent lack of reading comprehension is piss poor. Read much?

Sorry, I'm not buying it puddin'. You either had a ribbon issue to know that Ruth Underwood would make a ribbon buzz or you are making a statement based on having no experience. In other words, you are full of it and with that comes a loss of credibility. You damned sure haven't stated otherwise.

Wow, the guy puts a post about Carver Ribbons stating this music will show you if there is a buzz in them. He States no issues after 22yrs of having said Ribbons and you guys call him a liar?

WTF?? Do you people read at all? If I told you an album can shake the knickknacks off your bookshelf does that mean I did that? No!!!! It means it could.

I believe GG on this one. The guy has never steered me or anyone else I have read wrong on here before.

I'm still not getting it....agreed with Joe though, I have THE Telarc 1812 Overture on LP. I know that this is SERIOUS test for turntable and speakers...same thing, doesn't mean I perform said chicanery.

Don't be too harsh in your judgement. I gave one of these guys the gift that keeps on giving, a permanent hard-on for me cause I didn't drink the Kool-Aid at a different forum, and it clouds whatever higher thought processing he has left.

    Ignore works wonders.
