Well last night I downloaded the new app on the ps3 for walmarts streaming tech app VUDU . I have netflix and was skeptical about streaming high def content because I suffer from choppiness with the HD content via my 5 meg .

This was not the case with walmart's streaming tech and I tested this on my 1080p pj. Walmart offers 3 speeds and sd, hd 720p and a hdx 1080 .There is a connection test so that you may determine whats going to work and fortunately for me the hdx was ok with my 5 meg connection .

The site has a good variety of content of movies and tv that can be filtered by genre ,and release date etc .I went straight for the new movie releases .There was alot of the usual bunch of tuesday releases and some still in theater titles as it said like the new john claude vandamme movie .Movies are around $7 for the 720 and $8 for the 1080hdx this $1 hike was pretty consitent with everything for 1080p even on the 3 week old $5 titles

I am the unfortunate owner of a 3D tv .I say unfortunate because in order for me to watch a 3D movie I have to buy it for a small fortune as none of the blockbuster and netflix carry them .This was not the case as I came across a plethora of 3d content with about 90% of them available as a rental .Vudu also gives you an option to watch a trailer and another super cool feature to watch 2 minutes of the movie .I flicked a switch and routed the hdmi to the 3d tv and stuck my active glasses on .I loved it and thought drive angry was super cool looking but was bored with tron .I will be looking forward to streaming the new movie priest next week in full 1080 3d . Back to the pj I kept watching my free 2 minutes and eventualy settled down to watch a flick

Walmart gives you $5 for free for anything you want to watch so I paid $3 and put on quarantine 2 terminal .I dont even think its available on bluray yet but I opted to watch the 1080p version and I have to say I was pleased .The picture quality was amazing on the epson and I got no lag on the frame rate whatsoever .The blacks seemed really good on everything as if the vudu has a really good contrast or grey scale balance making the streams look very punchy .The audio was pretty good but nothing like a bluray, its too soon to tell but it seems like there is some compression going on

Overall I think you guys should give this a whirl and see how you like it especially if you have a 3d tv its a blessing if you just wana watch and not own 3d content .I have not checked the pc yet but if you have a playstation then go get your free $5 .There is no hassles or subscription fee so if your stuck for a movie and want a nice sharp contrasted movie in an instant then why not check it out as your gona get the latest releases

Why do you put a space between the end of the sentence and the period? And then start the next sentence with no space between the period and the first letter? What grammar rule is that?

    "punchy .The"
    "$5 .There"
    "3d . Back"
    "on .I"
    "rental .Vudu"

    etc., etc., etc.

Since you thought you should correct other people's grammar, I feel I should point out that the quote above is not a complete sentence.

Not very good at reading comprehension are you?

I asked a question. Additionally, my sentence is acceptable in its context.

Good enough. Not only is it not a sentence, it's not a question. Ask your self, does the phrase "And then start the next sentence with no space between the period and the first letter?" stand on its own as a question or a complete thought? No, it doesn't. If you said that phrase to someone, they wouldn't know what the hell you're talking about.

FYI, proper sentence construction would have been:

"Why do you put a space between the end of the sentence and the period, and then start the next sentence with no space between the period and the first letter?"

Anyway, I'm done. The only thing I feel is more futile than arguing with someone in a forum is attempting to correct someone's grammar on a forum. But if you're going to do it, you should at least attempt to uphold some credibility and get it right yourself.

When I saw the price of streaming rentals, I decided renting as many blu-rays as I can watch monthly through netflix for a set price was a better deal.

    Maybe if I had 3d I'd reconsider.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
