Compact Subwoofer?

I moved into a new apartment and the living room floor plan is not subwoofer friendly. Currently, I have the Klipsch Synergy Sub-12 and it is simply too big. I'm looking along the lines of a budget friendly, compact 8" woofer from Polk. The room is roughly 13' x 14' and fully carpeted.
My options are:
Polk PSWi225 - $180
Polk DSW440 wi - $280
Polk PSW111 - $160
The sub will either go in the corner of the room requiring me to run a wire across a bedroom door, behind the entertainment center, or in a corner of the room opposite the entertainment center meaning I'll have to go wireless.
I'm looking for balance as opposed to powerful, thunderous bass. I just need a musical bass that is tight and punchy that won't piss off my neighbors. It's going to be paired with my Pioneer Elite VSX-31, a CS2, 2 x TSi 200s, and 2 x Monitor II 60's
Any opinions on which sub to go with? Thanks in advance!
