I'm using the O!Play media player not just for HDTV but for playing high resolution flacs.
The audio is quite good, detail and ambiance retrieval is great.
Bass is tight.
It goes up to 96k sampling just fine.

I only complaint is I haven't made it work for 176k though.

I have been listening to 24bit 88k FLAC files and it definitely sounds better than a redbook CD.
I look to put more music on this media center.
Convenient like an I-pod but with HD fidelity.

I have an HDP-R1 hooked up through HDMI that I don't like, but sometimes use it as a backup to my music server. My O!Play sounds OK, but it cuts off the beginning of songs and the browser is terrible.

Maybe I need to upgrade my firmware. Are you using an HDP-R1? What firmware works best for you?

I have an HDP-R1. First thing I did was upgrade the firmware. I'm using the latest.
I use the audio outputs. The browser is slow and buggy, but once its going is the music is all that matters.

Thanks. I updated mine when I got it, but that was a while ago... so I'll give that a shot. I do remember not having as many issues when I was using the analog outputs. I thought the sound was better with my HRT Music Streamer II, though.

I love the O!Play for playing HD movie files off the network!

    Does it work with Netflixs?
The O!Play is a real bargain.
