HK to adcom

I'm pretty green at this so here goes. I have a HK 254 and want to hook it up to a adcom 5400 for two channel using RTi10's, When running two stero the AVR still controls volume correct? When I want to run 7.1 do I still use EZSet/EQ for the AVR to set proper setting of speakers for surround? I would guess common AV jacks are used to connect AVR to amp. Thanks for any info.

Yes. Just use the preamp out front channels to the amp and run the EZSet/EQ.

If you are looking at the back of the receiver on the far left at the bottom of the receiver, you should see eight rca jacks labelled as PRE OUT. From these you want to use the left and right front jacks marked as FL and FR (the white and red jacks). -
cool , exactly what I was trying to say
