New Volvo's in Da House! XC60 and S60 Black

Hey Guys,

I haven't posted anything in a long time,so here you go!

My wife's/Daughter 1997 Benz C230 died in June,great car that
we had for 14yrs.So the Hunt was on,it came down to the Volkwagen
Tiguan and the Volvo XC60. Both are great vehicles, but my wife liked
the XC60 better. We bought an 2011 XC60 on June 30th.

I've owned my 2005 Volvo s40 T5 since 2007, great car with good
quickness, but the Strut bearing were going out. Lucky for me it was
still covered under Warranty:smile:. When I went to pick my Car up
from service the Sales Manager made me an Offer I couldn't refuse.
So on July 30th I bought an 2012 S60 T5:biggrin:

All new Volvo's come with:

? 5 Years/60,000 miles of Wear & Tear Coverage Includes Brakes, Rotors and Wiper Blades

? 5 Years/60,000 miles of Complimentary Factory Scheduled Maintenance

It seems that at the end of the Month is a Great time to Buy.

    And durable too! 7 years ago when my daughter started driving, I bought her a gently used 850 that is still going strong today. She was in 3 collisions early on, one where the other car was totalled, with literally a 2" paint smudge on the Volvo's bumper. If the 850 ever dies (doubtful it will) there will be a newer Volvo in the driveway.

    Yep, Very safe vehicles.....In the Winter on 2009 a Huge chuck of Frozen
    Snow fell from the Overpass and landed on my Windshield and hood of my
    Volvo S40 T5....I was going about 55mph on the expressway!

    I gave my wife only 2 options for her new car and they were the Volvo s40 and the BMW 3281 either had to be AWD she chose the 2010 BMW because it fit her better and was the color she wanted (Montego Blue/blk int.).
    I can tell you that when we were looking she had a 2005 Dodge Neon and I called my Insurance agent using the vin. # from a new s80 AWD with all the bells and whistles (over 5 times the cost of the Neon) and the Volvo's Insurance was over $100yr cheeper :eek: for the same policy. She said it was cheeper even though it cost so much more due to the Volvo's being so safe and well built.
    I can also tell you first hand that the Volvo being over built because I worked on one (a Convertable)that was hit hard (really "IT" hit multiple things hard) and had to have the Qtr sectioned Along with other things but the Qtrs. side impact reinforcement (I kid you not) is 1/8" plate stamped into the shape of the piller attached to 2 other 1/8" plates. It was bar none one of the most impressive things I have ever worked on that has left me looking at and working on all others as just a decorative piece of crap just knock on the doors,fenders, qtrs anything and you will see. All the classes I have taken with I-Car have used Volvo as their car of choice to use in their crash/repair demo's.

    Very nice choices you have made. If we should meet I will have to put my wifes 328i X-Drive against your s60 to see how they fair against each other:biggrin:.

    Nice vehicles. Just a heads up for ya. My buddy bought one for his wife and her vehicle had a fuel issue. After a call to the dealership he found out that there was a recall for a fuel issue.
