I would think that is a little steep for those. Did you see the other ad for the 6000a's? http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/ele/2498809813.html

Now if you ever see a pair of 9500a's for $300, I would grab them!

So did ya do anything with that email address I gave you?

I would pass myself. I believe they were more novelty than awesome.

I have never heard that model but I wouldn't call them a novelty. I base that opinion on the likes of threads by users like mhardy, wardsweb, gordonW. Those guys seem to be up on many vintage speaker models and know their stuff. And they talked pretty good about this model. I'd love to hear this model Technics but don't know if I would pay $300 or not.

I have also read plenty of reviews on these and that is what I based my opinion on. Most said there was a disconnect between the midbass and the lows. And that they were very bright. To me that is not awesome.

I wouldn't mind hearing them for what they are, but 300 seems over the top for them.

Have you ever seen the 9500a? Those damn things look like guitar 4x12 cabinets.

My guess is they were aiming at Infinity with those.

What is sad about this is in one thread we pointed out every cool Technics speaker. Boy that was easy.

I'm more interested to see what's behind those huge technics in the pic with the guy standing. I see he has Yamaha NS-1000M there on the left hand side of the pic - I'd have to say those are some of my favorites!

    Not quite.
I owned a pair of Technics SB7070 and I'm here to say, they were awsome!!!

4 speaker time-aligned array, ports on the front. SOLID bass cabinet!

I sold them for 400.00 (then a 100.00 reduction for the young man to come here and return to Charleston.) but cut it to 300.00 and the new owner LOVED them at my house and more so when he got them home. He thanked me by phone a couple of times later on. I hated to sell them but again, I needed the space back. I'm STILL working on getting more space back and have reclaimed alot.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
