I finally broke down and showed the wife the Paradigm in-walls I'd been hiding in the closet. Two weeks was an enternity to wait to install these puppies. The purchase went over as well as all the others. "Do we really need more speakers? What are you doing to our house anyways?". I calmy reassured her and ignored her mumblings outside of the room. The speakers are going in the bedroom ceiling. I had the master bedroom prewired for 5.1 in case I ever got kicked out of the media room. First two speakers went in with no problem. Cut a hole, cleared out insulation. Replaced blown insulation with the pink stuff. Put speaker in. I got to the third hole and no speaker wire. Effin Stereo East (they did the prewire)! Where's the speaker wire?? Fortunately, there's attic space above my bedroom. Thank god, I didn't have to got tell the wife she'd have to spend the next week with a hole in her ceiling while I hunted down Stereo East to come out and find my speaker wire.:) Anyways, I climbed into the attic, traced the wire as far as I could, cut it short, and dropped it in the hole I had cut. It was just far enough after cutting to work. I finished the last speaker, hooked everything up and cranked up some Donald Fagen Kamakariad. I was duly impressed. The sound coming out of these little speakers is amazing! Beautiful highs and more bass than I could have hoped for. Two thumbs up for Paradigm reference speakers here.
