But, my commute will be longer than 30 minutes...........
Why don't you buy one and give me the second....or third one free?

Now's your chance to get some properties on the cheap and have them as rentals. Just a thought.
Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

We recently had an appraisal done in Sierra Vista, and we did better than we thought we would.

I'm really surprised at what houses in our neighborhood are going for, even the forclosures. There are probably deals to be had, but I would guess they're not necessarily in the better neighborhoods.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

The economy sucks! And from the news today it appears the $#!% is about to get a whole lot worse.

I totally agree but as times had been a little lean on my business...I still feel blessed to live in Texas...seems to be more going on here than most other places

I almost moved to that area for work, and I enjoyed looking at what housing my "Seattle Dollars" would buy in Arizona. But cheap house in a crap economy aren't good for anyone...

+1. Our house depreciated less than 2% last year. I have a feeling it'll be around the same next year.

    This economy sucks :(

Well, crappy economy or not, Tucson is still a great big little town, 9 months out of the year the weather is damn near perfect, and even the summers aren't bad once you adapt, you can snow ski till April some years at the southern most ski resort in the continental US. We're also the oldest continuously inhabited city in the country, http://emol.org/tucson/history/index.html

Some really beautiful homes from the 20's, 30's and 40's in the Sam Hughs neighborhood, dirt cheap...some even have central A/C !!

A very good friend of mine moved to Tucson a few years ago. My first trip down to visit I read an article in the newspaper on how overbuilt Tucson was. Impression I got out of the article was not too great of an outlook for Tucson's housing values. Quite surprising the number of vacant apartments, and single family homes. A rather high percentage of the single family homes had never been lived in.

I like Tucson and it's on my list of places to move to when the chips fall into the correct places to make my exit from Portland, OR. Might be coming down that way in Sept.

Last time I drove though Bend, OR I passed by a sub-division with a huge sign out front "Buy one house, get one free". Now that's desperate!

I lived in Phoenix for the last half of 2007. The house I was renting was purchased by the owner for 400K+. Now, houses in his area, Estrella Mountain over in Goodyear, are sub 200K and less. A house I was looking at in west valley was 200 something, now it still sits at 50ish.

I might take that job back and buy a few!
