From what I understand it does not only revolve only around guns, politics I believe is also allowed and many other discussions of interest, religion perhaps? From what I understand Mark created this specific forum to provide the members with less rulings and more freedom of expression. IMHO while keeping the members happy I would believe it also provides Polk's a tiny bit of a break policing and tempering hot topics discussions. Some sort of an extension forum that provides Polk members a mean to discuss things they do have at heart but that can not be allowed here at CP. Yet the members that I believe commute from both forums seems to be happy campers nowadays.

Seems to be about 99.9% guns and amo. Not that I don't like my guns, just not that interesting to talk about. Hopefully there will be more sub forums with other topics?

Heh, my short visit there leads me to believe that it is up to you to generate what you specifically want to talk about. There is a Polkie section where you could generate your prefered topic along with general section I believe where you could also start your favorite subject. I even believe there are movies talk?

Personnally, my short visit really impressed me, Mark and his team has created a very nice/appealing forum.

What a selfish ploy to advertise other competitive websites.

So sorry you have a hard time adhering to rules. Congrats on your other forum. Wish you luck for it. Doesn't mean you have to come here to stir the pot...

Drenis - You should read more about the forum here, its users and who's who before thinking you're comment remotely makes any sense.

The website is for Polkies that wanted to talk about subjects and use language that they cannot due to corporate rules and started by me, of whom works for Polk Audio. It's been something we've talked about offline for years not only here but at our yearly Polkfests and private group get togethers.

You probably wouldn't know any of that since you just joined and as far as me being selfish? Please, you should really look into that one again as well. L O L.

So far the attitude has been mixed... ESPECIALLY from some select "employees" who obviously can't even label themselves properly.

Great community. I'm sure as hell pissed off...

Of all the threads you could have chosen, you said THIS is the one I'll flip my wig on? Interesting.

Drenis, do a little forum searching and you will notice Doro (Mark) is a great asset to Polk, the community, and new comers. the way Kenneth Swauger greeted you and helped you is typical of Doro's (Mark) job and attitude. It could have well been him that led you to our Canadian rep I have seen it on many occasions (in fact he did so for me back then). Talking about Canadian, you have to keep in mind this is not Canuck land and it takes some getting use for us Canucks. As far as label, Doro (Mark) was one of the official mod back then but step down however, he is still very active in a not so offical way.

    Cheers!

Drenis, the Polk Army site was formed (with volunteer effort) as an effort to address the most heated topic on Club Polk, the one that brings out the worst in Polkies:

"Why can't we have Avatars ? My mom's got an avatar on her Sewing Circle website, why can't I have one ? I need one, I must have one."

It's my understanding that blood has actualy been shed over this issue !

Polk Army is actually a pretty cool site. Reminded me that I need to make sure I'm nicer to some people (didn't know they made boom-sticks that big !).
