I LOVE Frontosas broham. How long have you had that big one? I had a bunch of NICE Africans, and I ended up with one 7 inch Venustus, and now nothing. Repopulated that tank with a turquois Sevrum, three Blood Parrots, a large Kissing Gourami, and a Jewel that doesn't know he's in the wrong tank.
Cheers,

sadly i gave the big guy away. he seemed overly aggressive. but that's because he wanted to mate. supposed to have a harem of 5 females to one male but i had one and one. little did i know until two days later that the female was holding. now i have the momma still and 5 of her fry which are now about 2 1/2" long.
i purchased 4 venustus at about 2" long and they didn't survive the survival of the fittest. damn, those are some beautiful fish. i really wanted the to reach adulthood.
there are so many online breeders, but i haven't purchased any fish online. i should. but i'm too lazy. "yo, fishguy! overnight me some fish!"
blood parrots freak me out. exactly what do they have to be so happy about? always smiling and what not.
oh, and on another note, how much sonic transfer do you think travels through water? i used to crank the SRS's and the big front sometimes showed signs of annoyance. it could have just been coincidence. i know water can carry waves, but i doubt the 5/8" glass flexes any if at all.
damn, i love my fish... but the water changes and filter changes have got me burned out. my Fluval FX5 is a heavy son of a **** to lug outside to drain.

I kept a 60gal saltwater tank for years, I had ton's of monsterish fish and invertibrae's, I's go down to Rocky Point Mexico and bring back 'live rocks' (rocks plucked from the Pacific shoreline estuary's) and chuck'm in the tank, months later in a month you got all kinds of fun stuff, shrimps, anemones, starfish... I bought a Harliquin Sweetlips and a couple Tangs, but my fav badboy was my Lionfish, Lord Hawthorne, he was magnificent and learned to be quite tame, he knew when I was going to remove him to clean the tank.
I guess when he saw me putting on the shiny steel mesh glove to handle him, he knew, he'd pull his venomous spines in tight and be as docile as a baby sleeping. I miss him alot, great personality, an gorgeous to look at. He looked just like this one.Thorens TD125MKII, SME3009,Shure V15/ Teac V-8000S, Denon DN-790R cass, Teac 3340 RtR decks, Onix CD2...Sumo Electra Plus pre>SAE A1001 amp>Martin Logan Summit's -
I have a 55 Gallon With a couple of Koi. One is about 8-9"long and the other I call Nemo. He has a bum flipper since birth. I had a few more but I think they outgrew the tank and got sick.
I will post a pic later. -

You need a bigger tank for that nutcracker... lol.
Yours will grow even more with the bigger tank. My friend has a few 28"+ in his tank with the 5 foot arapaimas.

The closest thing I have is my Koi Pond in the back yard. I lost my largest Koi last fall...
Nothing like having your pump die in the middle of the night and not having your water be able to re-oxygenate. He was about 20-21" long. My one Koi left is about 17" and MUCH more aggressive now that "Oscar" is gone.
This is the last year for my pond for now though... Next summer my daughter will be walking/running around the back yard. The wife and I are just not comfortable with a pond till we know she can swim.
Fish will be transported to a pond next to my parents house in a few weeks. -
i had a bunch of african cichlids for years...the around 93 or so we had a deep freeze and the power went out. they all died..except for one tough ****..i had that fish for 11 years! he died when i went away for the weekend...cool fish..had character...had his way of demanding attention.
btw..he was a 'red cichlid' iirc...even though he was bright orange -
Red Belly Piranha in a 80 gal tank. Looking for a 120gal, but freaking costly out here. Koi Ponds are very popular out here along with huge goldfish.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Are you sure? With the luck you've been having I can see the tank tipping and drowning your system. -

Sounds like a Red Zebra (nothing Zebra about them). Great fish.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -

Nice Pacu! I have a 135G right now that is only occupied by a 12" Catfish and 3 1" Kribs that think they own the whole tank haha. I had Jack Dempseys for a long time but got bored with them. I am in limbo right now deciding what I want next. I got the Kribs from my bro when his had babies since he didn't have the space for all of the fry.
This pic is really old but the best I have of my Cat.

Mark (doro) is a big Krib cichild fan. I understand the limbo. I love the 'big' boys, but in my Amazon tank, I have *three* fish, the Pacu, an 8" Tiger Oscar, and a 7" Lipstick Leporinas. I almost feel tired of just 3 fish in such a tank. I'm going small next round, nothing over 4".

my buddy works for LiveAquaria.com and deals with all their salt water fish. He's got a ton and its crazy the amount of money he has into it. I think he's up to 3 tanks in his house and the one with "Fluffy" the red belly Piranha.
Fish are cool however I'm never home enough to enjoy them and the stereo lol.
