KLH Model Eight FM tube radio

Cabs are in nice shape with a few nicks, speaker cloth is yellowed but not damaged, radio has black knobs in good condition.
Works and sounds good. Two caveats: 1. Power switch is no good so it's jumped. 2. Caps are all-original and could use a recapping to take care of some hum and hiss.
Asking $300. Would prefer a local sale but will ship on your dime. This is listed elsewhere.

Very Cool! I note the treble control, but the absence of a bass control.

That's awesome. I'd totally redo those cabs and do a little hotrodding under the hood. If I didn't have other obligations, I'd be all over that.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

These are excellent radios.

very cool...glwys

Thanks. The radio is an early model with the solid wood case. The speaker appears to be slightly later and is veneered, with a single driver. Other than some cosmetic nicks in the side it's in exceptional condition.

I hate to part with the thing, but I usually just listen to my main hifi upstairs, and I don't think I want to use this in the basement with the machinery.

This is way cool......bump from a fellow resident of Taxachusetts.

Well then, let me tell you about our special offers for Mass residents.

Already got one in the Kloss Collection or I'd help you with that little sweetheart.

I'm selling it because I already have a KLH 21, an Advent 400, and a KLH 200. -
I'd be all over it if I thought I'd use it even a few times a month. I don't listen to FM anymore, just AM and internet radio stations. FM is becoming a dying breed, it's sad but true."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. so true:frown: when i lived near philly, there was a lot of choices...enough to keep a tuna in the system...now, i'm in south florida...there's nothing to my ears...not even when i drive the hour or so to miami...
i've got a nice scott lt110 tube tuna...looks good on display
someone will snag your radio...it's too historic not to..someone near a radio-rich college town -
I put on classic rock stations or NPR when I'm just working in a room. But on my main system it's been a long time since I used thre FM tuner.

did you try that auction site? they seem to go pretty good there
-
They go for great money there. I'll put it there if I have to, but fees+scams+foreign bidders who can't read the description makes it a last resort for me.
