I am running a Dayton spa500 with a jvc arsenal 12" 600w rms in a 1.5 cubic foot enclosure. I was wondering is there anything I could do to make it louder or cleaner sounding, maybe dynamat inside or anything? What are some things you guys have done? Also what kind of settings should I keep it at like crossover and phase and freqency setings ... I'm really new at this. Thanks guys

Are you sure the the 1.5 cubic size is big enough ?
Have you tries the sub in the cornor ? -
Mount it on spikes to decouple it from the floor. This will clean it up some.
My HT room has a laminate floor which, in my experience, is bad about transmitting vibrations and basically becoming a large transducer. I have my sub placed on a heavy flagstone slab and it helps reduce that effect drastically.2.1: PC>Schiit Gungnir MB>Schiit Freya Noval>NAD C-270>Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1, HSU STF-2 5.1: HDMI Bitstream>Denon AVR-1910>polkaudio RTE55, CS350-LS, RT3, HSU STF-2, Visio M55-F0 -
I added a good amount of polyfill to make up the extra .5 ft I really needed. I just can't have it too big. I'll give the corner a shot! Thanks. I bought these large lag bolts, do you think they will be suitable for use as spikes?TV- Insignia 46'' LED,1080p,120hz

Polyfill adds 10% cheapest place is at fabric stores .
Decoupling may change the tone but it will decrease the bass , auraflex sells sub pads but before you spend a cent on a pad try setting it on some foam pads and see if it sounds better .
I have never been a fan of spikes decoupling a sub would be removing the bass wave from the ground so=less bass .
But in the case of wooden floors it would help especially w/mids .
But the corner loading will increase the bass tons .
