Source(s): Computer and Denon 2910
Amp: Parasound HCA-1200II

Sounds like a decent price to me. Marantz amps from that era are much warmer and tubey than todays stuff.

George, get that in your grubby paws like right Now !!!
The Marantz three martini sound is not to everyones liking, but for that price you can't go wrong, the meters are worth close to that parted out. They don't like sustained 4ohm loads at high listening levels! Some have used them that way without a problem, but others have not.Thorens TD125MKII, SME3009,Shure V15/ Teac V-8000S, Denon DN-790R cass, Teac 3340 RtR decks, Onix CD2...Sumo Electra Plus pre>SAE A1001 amp>Martin Logan Summit's -
I'd like to have that one, nice.

Although I am not a big fan of the Superscope-era (and later) solid state Marantz hardware... that is a stellar deal if it is in working condition; I would not hesitate to pick one up for that $ in working order.

I need to amend my post about the 4ohm usage of the amps, I was thinking of the receivers from the 70's not the big power amps. I wouldn't use my Martin Logan's with it however :eek:Thorens TD125MKII, SME3009,Shure V15/ Teac V-8000S, Denon DN-790R cass, Teac 3340 RtR decks, Onix CD2...Sumo Electra Plus pre>SAE A1001 amp>Martin Logan Summit's
