Central WI Audio Society

So I've recently met a few local people (finally) that are very big into audio. We are talking about forming a Central WI Audio Society.

So if anyone knows someone on the Central WI area that wants to do listening ect let me know!

Its pretty cool, the one guy ownes his own HT install business (never knew!) and also we now have a guy around the area who is selling higher end gear out of his house.

I'm so excited but at the same time kind of sad as it took me so long to find them. Only way I discovered was due to see an audiogon add and then contacting the person.

    I'd be game if I were still in De Pere for school... however as you found out a few weeks ago shipping me the speaker cable I'm in colorado.

    Not sure how close to green bay you are but Hi Fi Heaven is a pretty decent place to check out if you are in the area.

    1.5 hours away. I've been to Hi Fi Several times, was there about 2 weeks ago talking to them about getting a Burson Preamp/DAC unit.

    I'm very fimilar with the area as well as my gf is from De Pere and we got there often for her family. Did you go to St Norberts or UW GB?

    I'm in Stevens Point, WI which is right in the middle of the state. I've been searching for fellow audio people for some time as we had a good hi fi shop that was over in Wisconsin Rapids (my home town) that closed up few years back. There are still some people around here that liked them and followed them so its just been hard to find them. I've been in contact with a few people one was a sales man who last year I just about bought his Carver's and then this year a couple of guys who have some nice systems who are awesome to talk to.

    and If you were in De Pere you could have grabbed a Krell SACD player that was on Craigslist lol.

    haha yeah there are. we are more like troll people though, small and deformed and most of the time just really fat.

    I grew up in West Bend and then went to St. Norbert for college. My wife grew up in green bay and went to SNC with me. Now we are both out here living the dream which involves a lot less swamp a$$ than before!

    Yeah, I thought the same thing. Usually you never see them untill the bars open up at night or it's hunting season.
