LSi 9's part II

I have had my LSi 9's for some time now and I have been loving them more and more. But, today I added a Parasound HCA 1500a to my system and WOW...
It's like listening to whole new set of speakers...
The vocals just jump out of the speakers and the mid-range is so much more full. The overall dynamics have added some awesome depth to the music, I can't stop listening!
I started with some "Back to Black" from Amy Winehouse (RIP :frown: ) and it's just a whole new recording to me... The backround intruments are far more pronounced, and her awesome vocals just sparkle. The low end was just as tight as before, but far more presence. I could tell just how much the H/K was struggling with a dynamic recording once I took it out of service.
I'm currently throughly enjoying "In Session" from Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughan. This is a HUGE difference to me... I notice the largest change with Albert, his crazy bends just sound soooo real. Plus the speed of the speakers is night and day, I can hear each note as he plays up and down the neck (used to be far more muddy and jumbled)... As for Stevie, I can't help but be amazed no matter how crappy the recording. However, his bridge pickup is now just so snappy and really sparkles the way it should... I have played more air guitar than I care to admit...
I'm gonna stop typing now and just enjoy "Overall Junction"!

A little off topic, but I'm sure glad you mentioned this disc. I hadn't heard it in years, and just played it through after you reminded me of it. ...pure magic... It's interesting to note Ian Anderson's involvement also.

The LSi9 paired with a Parasound 1500a is a match made in heaven in my book I run the exact same combo in my bedroom and love it. A pair of SDA CRS+ match up nice with that amp too I switch back and forth.
