I doubt it's that simple. The guy produced one of the greatest TV shows in the last two years, so even if I won't give him the benefit of the doubt on this, I"ll at least give him a pass :)

The concept is just ridiculous but aren't most movies....i'll rent it when it comes out. Not theater worthy by my standards.

I'd give that oinker my sausage link any day of the week.

This looks kinda cool to me, if the effects turn out good I'll see it for sure. After all, I loved Skyline so this is a shoe-in for me.

Come on, it's got to be good, Rihanna is in it!!!!!!!

Let's get this straight. That's three actors I have never heard of and a pop star that has never been in a big movie before.

Sounds like a winner to me. Where do I sign up?

    Why? Why? WHY!?!?!

Why does it have to be aliens?!?!?

And since when do we roll out Battleships for ANYTHING anymore? Cruisers carry tactical nukes with enough firepower to equal and entire fleet of battleships.

This has stupid written all over it.

Rhianna better be nekkid in it or I'm going to go to a theater and shout at the screen the entire time.

I agree with you on this one George. She's got a decent body (minus the slicone), but she's definitely a butterface. Honestly, I see better looking girls walking down the street on a daily basis. To put it into perspective, a co-worker that I'm on the verge of dating is way, way, way hotter than this Brooklyn chick.

"On the verge of dating" == "staring at across the office while you touch yourself."

Also, never dip your pen in the company ink.

Seriously guys, beauty is subjective, I get it, but you sound like effing morons when you call supermodels UGLY. "She doesn't do it for me" is one thing. "She's a dog" just makes you sound retarded, and makes everyone just assume you've never gotten laid.

We're in completely different departments, to the point where we consider it okay. I generally have that rule as well, but I'll make an exception for this one.

Just because someone is a "supermodel" doesn't mean they are attractive. A lot of them are certainly "unique," as that seems to be a requirement to be one. However, unique doesn't mean attractive. Another popular criterion is how thin they can be. Skin and bones just isn't attractive - at all.

Just in case it wasn't clear (it never seems to be around here), it really was a joke, I swear. I thought the phrasing "girl I'm almost dating" was suspicious / hilarious and was playing off of that.

I would say to be a popular swimsuit model you have to be attractive - as in people need to be attracted to you. A large number of people. The vast majority of people who aren't just being contrarians (or aren't convinced they're "almost" dating supermodels) would find most of these girls attractive - or at the very least, not unattractive. There are PLENTY of models I've seen people drool over that I've said "not my type" -- as I said before, it's subjective -- but I can't remember ever thinking "man, she's ugly." That just reeks of someone who is resentful of attractive people, and thinks that they have to "bring them down a peg" or something.

As for the whole "how thin they can be" thing ... I don't see much evidence that it's still the case. Fashion models can sometimes be absurdly thin because that's how the fashion industry works, but if you're a dude and pay attention to fashion you're likely not looking at women anyway. A swimsuit model with giant ****, you're calling that skin and bones? I'm not into dating someone whose leg is going to be amputated from diabetes, so yea I'd say Ms. Decker has found a bit of a sweet spot in the weight department.

It can be hard to convey sarcasm/joking in text, and sometimes what is needed to convey it ruins the joke anyway. I guess one could use emoticons, but I'm not a huge fan of them. I think that is because they are so incredibly overused by many internet users. I only tend to use them when absolutely necessary. Besides, my response was a bit on the sarcastic side as well.
Well, not all supermodels are swimsuit models and vice versa, though they do overlap at times. However, I would agree with you on this. The ones who do fall under the swimsuit model category do tend to be quite attractive. I suppose when I think of supermodel, I think more of the fashion model kinds.
There are PLENTY of models I've seen people drool over that I've said "not my type" -- as I said before, it's subjective -- but I can't remember ever thinking "man, she's ugly." That just reeks of someone who is resentful of attractive people, and thinks that they have to "bring them down a peg" or something.
I've seen a lot who simply fall under the "not my type" category as well. However, there really are some who simply do not turn me on at all. I don't know that I'd use the term "ugly;" instead, I would probably use "unattractive." However, I am not trying to be resentful or bring someone down; it's just me being honest. Sorry if that offends someone, but that is the way I feel, and I can't change that.
As for the whole "how thin they can be" thing ... I don't see much evidence that it's still the case. Fashion models can sometimes be absurdly thin because that's how the fashion industry works, but if you're a dude and pay attention to fashion you're likely not looking at women anyway.
You may be right about it becoming less popular, and I hope that is true. I'm sorry, but I truly think the "skin and bones" trend is disgusting and outright unhealthy. It is not a good thing to be, nor is it a good thing to promote.
A swimsuit model with giant ****, you're calling that skin and bones? I'm not into dating someone whose leg is going to be amputated from diabetes, so yea I'd say Ms. Decker has found a bit of a sweet spot in the weight department.
I never claimed that Ms. Decker was "skin and bones" - in fact, I've said that "she has a decent body (minus the silicone)." When I said skin and bones, I was referring to a more general trend in supermodels, since the term was brought up in the quote I was referring to. However, I will clarify that and say it seems to be more of a trend in fashion models, but they do overlap at times.
