What to buy first

Hello, everyone. I am planning to replace all my audio equipment this year, starting with the speakers. Right now, the plan is to get a pair of Monitor 50's for the front, a CS1 center, and Monitor 30's for the rear. Although the Polk site recommends a PSW110 for the sub, most of the threads I have read on here recommend the PSW505, so I'll go with that. I am going to get the speakers first and break then in on my current Pioneer receiver, then this fall I will be getting a new Pioneer Elite VSX-51, as my current one is old and does not do lossless audio. I will be using this system mainly for movies and gaming, but also like to listen to music.

My question about what to buy first has to do with availability and newegg pricing. They have the Monitor speakers on sale through Thursday of this week, but that was also the case last week. Are these speakers frequently on sale? I have also read about spotty availability regarding the sub. I want to get the best price I can for the Monitor speakers but don't want to miss out on the sub. I can only order one or the other this week. Whatever I don't get now I will purchase in about a month. Any advice or does it really matter?

I had planned to spend under $500 but stretched it a little to allow for the PSW505, since it it so highly thought of here.

Edit: If you meant my budget for this week, about $325.

If you use it a lot for movies, do not go cheap on the center channel. For the monitor setup, I would definitely get the CS2 over the CS1 for the extra $40.

The Monitors are frequently on sale at NewEgg.

I would also go with a cs2, unless you have a space constraint. Center channels are never big enough...

Thanks for the responses so far.

Since the Monitors are frequently on sale, I think I'll get the sub this week. I also think I'll go for the CS2 as y'all advised and maybe go for 60's up front. It'll be better to spend a little more time and money than to go cheap and wish I'd spent more.

One more question, then. Will the VSX-51 be powerful enough for me if I get the bigger speakers? It is rated at 90 watts/channel.
