best audio connection from dvd

Best audio sound from dvd, optical out , coaxial, or use the 5 ch.audio outs. Just courious if there is any audible diff. Equip. Used; demon 1940 ci into a b& k ref. 30 ( if this matters) driven by 5 ch. SS high current PA 2200 HK amp. Thanks in advance.

    Optical and digital coax should sound the same. Analog may sound different. Only your ears can tell which you'll like better.

    Digital connections are the best unless you plan on using a SACD player. If you use the analog connections,you will drop all the processing the B&K offers because it only does it in the digital domain.

    Thanks, this sys. Is a dedacated HT no music i have 2 ch. Analog for that. Thought the optical would be beat thqnks for the comformation.

    I switched from Digital coax to Optical and could tell a difference immediately. But really, it's like mdaudioguy said, "only your ears can tell which you like better".

    Optical. but to be totally honest that going from a crap cable from WalMart to Monster... soooo obviously anything is better than a Walmart brand lol

    Yes, to get an "equal" audio output signal, you should be using equivalent wire. That said, even the quality of the optical and coax jacks can have an effect.

    I don't get why he uses both the denon and the ref 30. The b&k is light years better than the denon and he has a 5 channel amp. Digital connection from dvd into the Ref 30 , connect the amp and your off to the races.
