It must be good it says Audiophile in the heading. I mean what more needs to be said.

Sorry can't help but offer sarcasm at no charge to you. :)

I've prices from $251 to $395 and none of the sites mention if that's for a pair or each although it's so over built from what their site says it's probably each:biggrin:

The IRD / Norh is a decent amp. If you want monoblocks on a budget, hit partsexpress.com and bag as many Audiosource Amp100's as you need for a Franklin a pop. They bench at something like 137w bridged at 8ohm continuous.

You can't get more bang for the buck.

Holy Junk??!! those are not very expensive at all on Ebay for marantz! 600 Watts peak bridged into 4 ohms, nice. I'll look into those, thank you very much!

They are good amps, I used to run 3 of them for a whole house system, neutral sound, decent headroom, dead quiet.... Plus, they are super flexible, with RCA passthrough, front mounted volume control, etc. You don't even have to bridge, you can experiment with bi-amping also. Finally, when and if you move them down the road, you'll have a lot more people to sell to, vs a straight mono amp.

Outlaw Audio makes a very good monoblock(200w @8ohms/300w @ 4ohms) amp. Started out with them on my RTi12s and they performed very well. They can be had on A-gon for cheap, excellent bang for buck amp. One thing to note is they never get hot, a tad warm to touch even when stacked.

Oh yeah, i've seen those Outlaw Audio mono's and they seem pretty cheap for 300 watts into 4 ohms. I am definitely considering them since they're not too expensive.

I have never looked on Audiogon for things, seem like I tried it once and couldn't find half the stuff my Dad pulled up lol I'll try looking again though.

    Audiosource Amp100

I have this exact amp that runs a pair of kitchen and a pair of deck speakers on my zone 2 setting. It is great for what it is; an inexpensive, bridgable amp that won't blow your dorrs off. I have had it for 4 years and had no problems with it at all.

ah, that makes me smile. I've had my two receivers, Minus the Onkyo, and two DVD players for probably 6 years and haven't any problems with them at all. All it takes is care and that's obviously what you have done with your amps:smile:

I just bought one 2 weeks ago from a yard sale of all places.I hooked a cd player and speakers to test it.... NICE solid unit for sure. Toroidal trans. in it to.

It has no tone controls but did sound very good to me, and a friend( the next day or so) who has nice equipment and good ears also. The cd player was a Nakamichi.
