CSiA6 - Large or small ?

Hi all,

Please, may I set my center channel in the receiver set up as small or large ?

While CSiA6 is a large center speaker, I am not sure if setting the center channel as large in the "receiver set up" should be done only if I had something like a RTiA9 there...

Thanks,

Mongo

Set it to small. An XO point of around 80hz is typically best.

    Thanks to everybody that replied,

I am unfamiliar with this 80 Hz setting, would anyone please give memore details ?

I have gone through my old receiver manual, there`s a 5 band equalizer to adjust the center channel, but I am not sure on how to proceed,

    Thanks a lot,

Large means that the full frequency output is sent to the speaker. Small splits the output at the specified frequency (sloped output, actually) and sends the lower freq signals to the bass producing speakers, most often a sub but sometimes the main speakers. If you have the "small / large" option you will also have the ability to select this frequency. Standard, and a good starting point, is 80hz.

Small but I toy with the crossover in my SC07 set to 50 or 80 Hz.

Thanks for clarifying, I was confused with the initial comment of setting the center channel  to 80Hz - which doesn`t make sense, as this is the sub setting, that I set as soon as I bought the whole system.

    Thanks again,
