I was thinking of adding another powered sub to my system. Is there a law against using a y splitter out of the LFE out?

Cool, good to know. Hated the thought of having to shell out for a .2 AVR.

I've also used that method with no issues but some ppl have had voltage issues for waking up sleepy subwoofers.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I used to have a y splitter on a set of vega towers with built in subs. One would give me trouble at times from the voltage so it can be done but may or may not be an issue.

I'm not very familiar with the state statutes of Ohio but I'd be willing to bet it's not a felony!! Maybe a misdemeanor?
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

BTW doro.. the sound of my speakers (RTA 8Ts) have undergone a couple of transformations since the mod. I haven't put 100 hours on yet, but have been running them a lot.

At first, there was little change, then they seemed more "alive" but the mids (mostly vocals) sounded a little distant. Now things seem to be more even. Is this usually the case after a modification?

Brighter sound, but still fast and accurate. Seems to have a bigger soundstage, but have lost the warmth (especially in vocals) that I have been accustomed to.

Actually, they seem to be better for HT now. I am curious to know if Mylar caps are inherent to a warmer sound or was it just my speakers?
