The wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Ruth Chris last night. How did I know it was my anniversary ? I have a throw blanket that hangs on the back of the couch with the date stamped on it. Cheating you may say, I say smart.
Anyway, bone-in ribeye's with some sideorders shrooms,scallopped taters,and their creamed spinach was gleefully consumed. Had their crabcakes before dinner arrived with a nice bottle of vino I brought from my stash, a Frank Family Winston Hill Cabernet. Followed that up with some rasberry sorbet and a 30 year old tawny port. I'm still stuffed this morning, so is the dog who gladly took a bone off our hands.

Man cannot resist a good hunk of meat from time to time. I dig the way Ruth Chris cooks their steaks. Their menu is limited, but what they have they do well. We kinda use our anniversary as an excuse to do anything. Let's go to Napa for our anniversary....ok I'm in. Ruth Chris ? Cool, lets go. Have a BBQ for 20 friends to celebrate our anniversary ? Fine with me. I guess we just like to celebrate...period. Hope the rest of you celebrate like there's no tommarrow. Here's to all having a great rest of the summer,cheers.

    Wow. I have my fifthteenth coming up in a few week and really need to get the planning going. Thanks for the reminder. I can always remember the date of our anniversary, but I am not so good about today's date.

    Not to get too personal, but don't you find that being overstuffed limits the after party activities? Or have you been married long enough that it no longer maters that much?:wink::eek::redface:
