All they had was a pair of Maggie MG-I improved and a Pioneer Elite dvd/sacd player. The guy setting the MGs out said he crushed the original boxes they came in after he put the bases on the speakers. Oh well, can't have it all.

sheesh... our GW is so ghetto.. best pair of speakers I've ever seen there have been those old Thrusters... or thryister or Yorx.

your GW must be in nice part of town..

I got a chance to hook these up tonight and give them a good listen. I wired them up to a Grommes 20LJ, a vintage 10wpc tube integrated fed by the Pioneer sacd player I picked up at the same time.

First up was Jacintha singing Light my Fire. Wow, these things were made for female jazz. The 10 watter didn't have the juice to get them really going but they worked fantastic. I'll remedy that later with a tube pre and my TFM-55.

I think i'll get my money's worth out of these.

Nice! As far as electronics go, I have never had a decent GW score. Your score, is a killer score!

Ok Ken, I will ask but doubt I will get a reply. But what GW did you hit? Cause I was at the one in Martinez last Friday and they didn't have nothing but VCR's and CRT's. Congrats on scoring those!

I went by that Goodwill last Saturday because a friend told me there was always good audio stuff there. As usual, my timing sucks. I know the North Augusta one never has anything decent.

    Nice score polker85-

I've found alot of decent gear @ my local thrift store. Picked up a Garrard GT-25 TT yesterday for $10. Decent shape but the hinges on the cover are gone, yet the cart works and it sounds great for cheap.
