My oldest son and I have been working on putting together a 2 channel system for him quiet a while now.

CSR + unmodded, well I did spike the stands.
Luxman R-1120 receiver
Nakamichi DMS-2A CDP
MIT ExpII speakers cables
SIgnal analog ICs

I have to say I am quite surprised how nice this little setup sounds. I could definately live with it.

Here are some pics.

The Luxman has a seperate switch if you want to run electrostatic speakers. The tuner is great. Suppose to have a nice phono section which we will find out once we move the setup to his place. He has my old Technics TT and SHure 79 cart. Currently using my (12 years) old HTIB receiver that oddly enough is rated for 4 ohm speakers and has phono stage.
Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
Preamp: Joule Electra LA-150 MKII SE
Amp: Wright WPA 50-50 EAT KT88s
Analog: Marantz TT-15S1 MBS Glider SL| Wright WPP100C Amperex BB 6er5 and 7316 & WPM-100 SUT
Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs

Thank you for showing the next generation of music lovers [possibly audiophile] the way to get it done right. *long distance genuine handshake*

You, sir....have just made my day. Well, that and planted the seed for the next generation in the right field. I tip my hat to you, sir.

    Thanks Keiko.

Decided to hook the Luxman up to the 1Cs. Very impressed with the receiver. AN excellent dollar to performance receiver.

Very airy and open. Not quite as deep and wide as my tube gear but still for what I paid for it I am even more impressed. I do love the the peak leds.
