How and why people get themselves so drugged up all the time is beyond me. It's as simple as making a choice, just say no. So easy, and yet so many are just too weak. RIP Amy.

it is sad, I think i remember seeing a quote from her saying she didn't think she'd live past 30 the way that she lived. Sad she was right.

    RIP Amy!

She was tormented by demons, psychological, addiction and probably more that very few could understand. Her problem just wasn't making a choice to just say NO, it was a disease. What a shame to see such young and talented person die tragically. My heart goes out to her family, loved ones and the people that tried in vain to help her.

If it makes you feel better to call me names, fine. All I'm saying is it's just as easy to say yes, as it is no. NO good comes from doing drugs, and she is a perfect example as to why. Just say no and don't even start, it's that simple.

Guys we are dealing with addiction here and its a mental illness like a cold or fleww you cant shake wich drugs and alcohol are the only cure .I have been addicted to weed and tobacco and its very very hard to overcome .Usually the people with other issues mixed with addiction never recover and its a sad thing to waste a life on it

My sympathies to her family and those who knew and loved her.

I have a cousin who is 41 and still a "recovering" addict, who has been clean now for maybe 2 or 3 yrs.

It's a long hard life - or a short hard life - either way.

    May she rest in peace.

Just remember one thing boys and girls........without the influence of booze and drugs....... a lot of the music that we play/revere would never have been written, performed or recorded. Please think on that while being so profound and judgemental with your posts. :frown:

This may sound tacky but when you pour all of your attention to Home theater and Audiophilia, you'll have to time or money for drugs..

Yeah, no way she, or other celebrities, could afford audio and drugs.

I think you found the cure.

I'm not talking about buying Polk Audio grade gear here. Plus, you're too busy tweaking and upgrading and spending all day in the forums..

We all do stupid stuff when we're young. Her stupid thing happened to be trying drugs. Maybe because her childhood sucked and she was looking for escape.. maybe because she was trying to fit in somewhere.. who knows. But once you're hooked, it's physiological and psycho-addictive. Your brain craves it. It's not a matter of simply saying 'yes' or 'no'. That's not how addiction works.
