So I'm slow....

Just got the 180G LP version of this classic.

All I can say is....Wow....:biggrin::eek:

Cleaned it up first with MoFL Enzyme and Rinse on my RCM, then dropped the needle and went into a tearful sublimation of system and music enjoyment.

Dead quiet vinyl...clear sonics...wonderful musicianship.

Get this and enjoy it.

I have the original Lp in good condition, and on CD and they are played quite often, also Lp and cd copy of Magazine, and little Queen, nothing better than the best of three of hearts output, wait a minute Dog and Butterfly was pretty good, so was Bebe La Strange, make that 5 of hearts best, is that a remastered copy on that 180g vinyl? Sounds like your happy with it, I bet it sounds great.

Oh this is scary. Great minds.... Nothing like some good tunes in the morning.

Right now I've got Linda Rondstadt playing, and the next disc up is going to be Dreamboat Annie that I got curtesy of Mike!

    From the Musicdirect.com website:
"This 35th Anniversary limited edition release is mastered impeccably from the original Capitol tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios with Kevin Gray."

Like I said - dead quiet - like listening to a CD as far as surface noise - but with that glorious full 'liquid' feel of vinyl.

The original Mushroom pressings were very good sounding.

My LP copy of Magazine is a Mushroom pressing and it is the one released without the Wilson sisters permission that lead to some legal battles, the Wilson sisters got their way and had it re released after Little Queen, from what I have heard it was to have come before Little Queen, anyways I heard it might be worth some money because of that, and the best thing is I got in the Cut out bin at a Tower records in San Diego.

The "disputed" Magazine isn't particularly easy to find; that's a good one to have.

That brings back memories - the Tower in SD.

Used to live in Point Loma - would drive there on the weekends during High School (Go "Pointers") in 1976-77 and hang out at Tower looking thru the LPs.

Excellent record, the original Canadian pressing is really great sounding and just as good as the Nautilus. I have both.

It can really be an eye opener when we find friends that might have been around us in one way or another. Or coming in one door while you hold the door for a stranger next and then meet her again a while later and she holds it for you this time. Small world..

    FATE...

Yeppers, I've run into a couple of my old customers on some other forums from my St. Louis, MO days in high school, I was infamous for my usage of Banana EZ widers. They all remembered those, my green foam surround Genesis Lab speakers and my 1st pressing MFSL Pink Floyd, Supertramp & Steve Miller Band vinyl  too cool that fate thing

btw, played 'Dreamboat Annie' again earlier, and even with a few pops and tics, it's such a great LP, start to finsh!!
