Polk T600

I see Futureshop has Polk T600's on sale for $149 each. Are these the same as Monitor 60's? If so how would these compare to the RTiA5's? and will my CSI3 center work with them also using RTi4's as surrounds. I have the PSW125 sub. Thanks for any info.

    There is no such model listen on the Polk website. The picture does appear to be of a Monitor 60 II but if that's the case, the price is about $40 higher than newegg's right now.

    I'm not sure I'd trust a company that can't even get the model number right...

    Rodney - A couple of Polkies whose names look familiar from here seem to think they are essentially the same as Monitor 60s, perhaps just a slight variation sold in Canada.

    I feel like a boob for not noticing the ".ca" on the address of that retailer.

    Mon60's are 179 on newegg.ca. If they're the same speaker that seems like a good deal. Never heard monitors and rti's in the same front stage... can't speak to their matching abilities. I very much like my M60s, but they're paired with a monitor center in the living room.

    I just bought these... when you register the product, T600 are among the choices... so obviously SOME info exists on this site, just not much. I'll come back and include an image a little later today.

    Owner's manual just says T Series, T300, T600, CS180.
    They have 1" cloth dome tweeter, 3 x 5 1/4 bilaminate drivers and bi-amp connectors on the back. Everything incl. the drivers are black except for the tweeter dome.

    A little early to tell on the sound. I'm replacing two Athena towers with these... they sounded fantastic a couple of times and ok with some other music... plus they have not been broken in so I'm reserving judgement for now.
