I just got my invite today and used it for a few minutes when I got home from work. Seems amazing so far. Allows you to find any songs you want and listen instantly... sorta like Pandora on steroids.

    - I hear it's a lot like grooveshark for those of you who have tried that (I hadn't)

I am currently running spotify along with Rhapsody. Spotify won't play 1 out of every 3 songs I pick, has occasional drop outs, and agravating search engine. Even though I pick the option to not include all area's, I still get 5 choices of the same album release including european versions. Which means a certain song on a certain album will yield over 10 results in different variations, then you have to guess which one is the song your looking for. Rhapsody has better software to search, plus you get movie soundtracks, disney soundtracks, kidbopp for the little ones, comedy albums, and on and on. Spotify needs to deal with some issues before I can give them a thumbs up.

This has my attention and signals a step in the right direction:

    320kbps

If Hulu and Netflix can stream HD Video, Spotify and others can stream hi res music.

I'm loving it so far this morning.... haven't had hardly any problems finding anything I care to listen to. I wish there was a way to get it onto the ps3 (besides the whole music server bs crap).

I may eventually upgrade to the paid version so I can get it on my phone and play it outside and on my main rig.

I used hdmi on my system and it sounds good . I love the way I can put my info in and all the songs come up for me to choose. For that I find it way better than pandora and the selections huge for hard to find material

I don't think so Mike. You can have Itunes play thru Spotify but not the otherway around. Besides, why would you ? itunes doesn't support the extra bump in SQ....supposedly that your getting in Spotify.

Hmmm . . . my setup with Spatial HD requires iTunes as a frontend in order to use the PureVinyl programming.

Tried Spotify Premium tonight. On the whole, the sound quality was decent for a streaming service, but the interface brings back nightmares of searching for the right song to donwload from the old Napster lists on college servers. There needs to be some more organization. For now, I'm keeping my money with Rhapsody. They've been doing this streaming stuff for years now and they support the iPhone and computer with a great interface.

I am trying out the premium, too. Seems great for the car and at work. One note is that I had to go into the settings and select that I wanted to stream high quality both on my phone and computer (the default is the lower quality).

That was my thoughts on it too. Cancelled my Spotify and will continue to use Rhapsody. So far in a month of using both services, Rhapsody did not drop out once, or refuse to play anything I played. Can't say the same for Spotify.

I'm a premium subscriber. I had Napster before and Spotify just blows Napster out of the water-not even close. $10 a month gives me access to as much music as I want and I get to download it offline.

I haven't had any issues other than the iPad and iPhone apps crashing every time I tried to create a new playlist, but that was fixed in the latest update. It would be perfect if they added AirPlay support for the Mac app.

On another note, Spotify has zero customer service. I was charged three times for my $9.99 membership. Spotify provides no contact info whatsoever to resolve issues, just a worthless FAQ. So I initiated a dispute with paypal. Paypal refunded my money and Spotify cancelled my account after just a week. I still paid for one month of which I only used a week. So now I initiated another dispute with paypal. Eff Spotify.
