my not so ideal ht room is 30 x 20 wth halls doors fireplaces big wall mirrors basically it stinks for audio but I finally got the front 3 speakers and subs to sound good its just the rears are going to be up high in the cornors , what I wonder is there any way to get a diffuse rear by using differant types of speakers even though they are basically in a cornor ??
I dont mean differant types as differant brands but dipole versus monopole , I only have like 12" max heigth ( doors halls etc ) everything is in the way .

system ..
center=kef 100
mains=polk moniter 5's
sub=homemade 4x12" drivers externall amp and X/O

    I favor normally a Di/Bipole , You have the FXi from Polk , Axiom QS4 and 8 , HTD ( this ones sound really nice and they are affordable ) , Monitor , PSB and so on . The real question is ...How much do you want to spend :biggrin:

    but I wonder does the switch just put one tweeter out of phase ?
    Can you put that speaker in a cornor ?
    Will it make a differance in the cornor ?

    I kinda think the rears should cost about a fourth as much as the mains and I also think you dont need a lot back there unless you need to fill like a 75 person theatre ( I wish that was my problem ) .

    In my case I use polk moniter 5's as mains (w/subs of coarse ) so something like sda's or a k-horn is waistfull back there .

    so I am think like a polk s4 is fine , but my original question was is something as advanced in design like the polk ls/fx worth the effort (in my case) and will those work placed in a cornor ??
