Today I am off from work so I went around looking at used audio gear. Ran across a Def Tech Trinity sub. I know Def Tech for HT gear so I thought I would try it out. My first impression is OMG!! Started listening to some organ music for some real low end and the few people that were in there about crapped their pants. Ever been next to the car with the bass so deep it vibrates your soul, that's what was going on. I can only imagine this sub with movies. I bet I'll feel like I got hit in the chest when I put on Master and Commander and later with Transformers. I love the first battle scene in M&C when the cannonballs comeout of the mist. In Transformers I like towards the end when one of the robots is flipping over Megan Fox by firing his gun. I bet my wife yells at me for this, lol. The only sub that I have been around that did this was a JL Fathom. The Fathom was a little tighter but otherwise to me they were super close in everything else. I listened to a few other tunes and my mind was made up. I bought this sub for a 1/3 of the new price even though it looks as if it were just taken out of the box. Anyone else here ever hear this sub?

I heard this subwoofer way back in 2006-7 I think and it was pretty awesome then, let alone the revisions that have changed its character since then. Enjoy!

That's the one we saw them debut at CES. I've got some video we rolled on it somewhere in the vault.
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Yeah, that's the one. They showed us the drivers and were beaming about them at the time.

I have been doing nothing but watchng selected scenes in movies so far. In Master and Commander those cannon shots and cannon balls whizzing by are amazing. I had to move my media shelf from next to the sub. Everytime the sub hit hard stuff fell off. I also had to put felt on the back of pictures hanging on the wall to stop them from tapping. That scene in Transformers is great also. My son actually covered his ears when the robot fired his gun at the ground and started flipping over the girl. I almost had to turn it down as well. I felt like I was in that 5 gum commercial where the guy is laying in small metal balls while the woofer is bumpin' some bass. Now when I sit on the couch in the media room it feels like I have buttkickers in there (almost). Now I am torn. Do I use this for HT duty or for the 2 channel setup. Decisions, decisions.

By all means, please post it if you can get to it without much effort.Thanks.

Back to listening for me. I had to take a break and get something to eat. I started to feel kinda woosy. Thought it might be that I was hungry but I now think it might be due to how loud I have the sub. I walked outside and into my neighbors yard and I couldhear it like I was still in there.
