To the library. To get a dictionary. To make sure I knew how to spell capacitor before I hit the submit button.

....better off than most. The Franciscan Monastery is in my backyard. About 9 city blocks of open green space. Always cooler here. My home is in about 85% shade. Remember to plant those trees when you get your DREAM home. Close your blinds. Wish I had a "WHOLE house fan". If you design it into your plans it can save about 40% of your summer cooling cost. Of course not in this heat streak.

Sounds like a beautiful spot! I lived in the Palisades area off MacArthur Blvd. when I was a kid, even went to Glen Echo Park while it was still in operation. Hope they aren't running those poor mules on the towpath today!

    WoW!

I remember some of those days. Came to DC for college in 1967....was a great place to be. My friends lived in that stone castle across the street from Glen Echo Park. Lots of great parties with local bands. There was another Amusement Park ...back in the day. It was down river. We had a Booze Cruise night...adventure. Drinking age back then was 18.

...I don't remember it ever being this HOT. Of course, I was MANY years younger. Good "ole" days !

It's not where would I go, it's where I'm going.

We're heading off to Seattle for five days next Fri. The stepson is getting married, and well, my mom isn't getting any younger, so we're on the go back home once a year to see mom plan now.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
