I have a pair of Mallorcan speakers available. They have the lsu/hf/12/8 gold drivers. The cabinets are a little rough (scratches, chip in the lattice, small chip on tannoy lightning bolt logo). The speakers themselves sound great though. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and would prefer to sell them locally. If I dont sell them locally, I would consider just selling the driver/crossover/cables if someone doesnt want the cabinets and would like to save on shipping. So I would appreciate any opinions on price/value. Ive seen them sell for anywhere from 1000 to 1600 a pair. Also if anyone knows of a forum dedicated to Tannoy or one with a lot of Tannoy fans, I would appreciate a link or referral. I want to explore the option of selling them to a collector before going to ebay or audiogon. Thanks!

Doesn't anyone here have experience/knowledge/opinion with these speakers? There are tons of views, but no replies.

Sorry never saw the thread myself. Mallorcan's with the Gold 12" Nice stuff. First why would you sell these?

I would have to see the Drivers to give a true assessment and to make sure you have the Gold 12". As you didn't show a pic of the back of the driver.

That being said I will tell you the 15's go for over 2k a piece but the 12's don't seem to grab near as much I think around 15-2k a pair is the higher side I have seen. As far as value goes it is more to do with the prestige of 15's over the 12's. Sound wise the 15's are a bit smoother but the 12's would put most new drivers to shame.

Considering you have the Mallorcan Cabinets which are pretty stout. I would estimate yours without seeing the speakers and as long as they work around the 2,000-2,500 mark. Maybe more if you find the right person. Mallorcans don't come up very often so there could be a greater value in that.

I would be interested in selling them because I dont use them currently. I would like them to go to a Tannoy enthusiast who would appreciate them daily, instead of sitting in my basement. They do indeed have the gold driver, I will post pics later. They sound great and are in overall nice shape, other than the cosmetic issues with the cabinets. I appreciate your insight.

I wasn't doubting you on the Gold Driver thing, but if you do post them up for sale somewhere make sure to post the pick of the driver as well.

PS I am an enthusiast but a broke one.
