There is a Peerless clone on Ebay.
I wonder if that sounds the same as the original?

Probably not, the long time members recommend the rdo194s I think that's as close as you will get . Or take your time and some peerless, they do come up every once in a while on ebay.Another way would be to find a set of beat up 5s 7s or 10 with peerless tweeters cheap. I should have a pair of Peerless Denmark in an average pair of Model 5.
I'll pull them to be sure they're Denmark. I haven't pulled them in a while and not 100% sure which pair of 5s they're in.

There is a Peerless USA tweeter version as well. I'm not an expert so I don't know which one sounds better/smoother.

You do realize the peerless and sl2000 and rdo are not interchangable? The x-overs are different for the peerless and they are physically smaller than the other 2. Does your M7 currently use peereless or are you looking for an alternative to the sl2000 because the RD0's in Canada are too expensive?
