Hello,
I would like to preface by saying I know next to nothing about audio equipment. Anyways, I have a pair of SDA-2a?s and I was wondering what amp and pre-amp to get so i can utilize them properly, specificity is appreciated. Oh, and price range is around $500.
Thanks

FBM gave you some real good suggestions there.
I Prefer B&K Amps to Adcom myself but Adcom can be found easier and usually cheaper. -

For not being an audio guy you have a pretty nice set of speaks there.
I'm not really a car guy but I happen to have a classic Porsche 930 Turbo in my garage

@fmb211 - Thanks, all this is very much appreciated. I would be so lost if it wasn't for forums.
@Joe08867 - Thanks, for the tip. I'm finding it to be most true on ebay.
@drummer86 - lol. I don't know audio. But I do know when I hear speakers that sound better than anything on the current market. Seems like vintage speakers is the way to go. Newer speakers all sound airy to me since I've got the Polks. -
I use a Rotel RC995/RB980BX preamp/power amp combination with my SDA2A's and they sound great. 2 years ago, these cost me just over $500, might be less now. Rotel and NAD have made some really nice integrated amps that fit this price range, like a Rotel RA-972 or RA-985. whatever you get, make sure handles 4 ohm loads easily. the SDA2A's have been know to give some trouble to amps that don't like low impedance.Dual 1229/Grado Gold/Rotel RCD1070/RC995/RB980BX/Pioneer 7100/Denon DRM710/Monster HTS3600MKII/PolkAudio SDA2B/TL's
