These sound superb Mike. The backrounds are absolute black. No hiss at all on my system. They easily beat out the remasted cds.

Makes me want the full box set ASAP.

The stores up in West Lafayette/Lafayette were VERY good to me. I scored some 600+ lp's, a Sansui AU20000/TU9900 set, and a bunch of other stuff.

I find here in Los Angeles... the stores basically suck. It must have a lot to do with population density and the fact that more people are picking over the good stuff long before you get a chance to walk in the door. I happened to be standing there when they came in today.

Yeah, but its hard to justify the gas money when you wont necessarily find anything....

I have noticed the West Lafayette CL seems to be a bit better than the Indy one here as of late..

Not that I have any money to spend or anything lol...

Great grabs John! I personally don't think the remastered box set is worth the $$'s, those early pressings you got are superb, especially for what you paid

I am only going to look for the MFSL stuff from here on out whan it comes to certain groups. That MFSL Beatles set is very high on my radar right now, along with putting the finishing touches on my amp build.

Dang, sounds cool. I usually get old Classical Lp's to put in frames from goodwill stores. I found some good ones in Panama City at an antique mall. Beatles albums are a good find. I have trouble finding the more popular labels and I've never seen any Beatles albums.

    Congrats on the find.

Some good titles on the Nautilus label, John. Half Speed Masters. Long OOP, but sometimes you can find them at a decent price. On par with MFSL pressings.
