Just bought a set of Energy Pro 22 speakers with stands yesterday for $80 on local Craigslist.

Almost perfect condition except for a pushed in dustcap on one of the woofers that I think I can fix with tape or a vacuum cleaner.

Cleaned them up a did a little listening last night and really liked what I heard.

Do any of you Polkies have any experience with Energy speakers?

Thanks!

I had a pair of RC10s for a while that I really enjoyed (kinda wish I still had em...). They were very comparable to the Lsi7s that I also had at the time (kinda wish I still had those two...). I think that the RC10s are actually a more balanced speaker overall, but with a slightly less delicate and extended tweeter, and a little less dynamic slam. I ended up keeping the Lsis, I think mainly because I had always wanted to own a pair.

Same experience as rooftop with the very same speakers (RC-10 and LSI-7s), but still own both. Definitely more dynamics on the LSIs, the LSIs are also tighter with the bass--the port in the Energys can make them a bit loose down below...so a lot of experimenting with placement there!

Also had some Energys years ago--another set of larger bookshelves. They hold up pretty well.

Enjoy, until 'recently' Energys were also a solid mid-level speaker--Canadian, that is!
