You're half-way there. The other half is that these are the ATS Acoustics "Coffee Bag Panels."

I thought it was too. I'm gonna put another row above the ones I have shown. It's a small start to dampening my tile and sheetrock room a bit.

It is nice to see acoustic panels that looks more of a home decor than simple accoustic panel while still accomplishing the task. Such makes it a whole lot easier when considering-seeking WAF.

So why are they in the kitchen and not by the speakers?

If you allow constructive comments, IMHO they would look much nicer on your wall if they were offset instead of a straight line (specially if you are to add more panels). What do you think?

That's a good idea. I was thinking about it, but I just don't know if I have the right or enough wall to work as well as I would like. Thanks!

I have, for lack of a better way to put it, a semi-open plan. The living room and dining room are one open area and the kitchen is sort of open with a large entry and a bar counter open next to the DR table. This wall is directly opposite from the SRS's so they should still help attenuate first reflections, despite the distance.

Unfortunately, the living room area has windows on the left wall directly next to the SRS's then a sliding glass door (both covered with fairly thick curtains). The right wall has a cubby hole for a TV stand (I put my sub next to the hole with a 2ft x 3ft panel planned across the corner for a bass trap) and then a fireplace with a riser for the chimney. The riser will get a 2ft x 4ft panel and there is an opening to the foyer area directly above the cubby hole.

For better or worse, there just isn't wall space to hang much on next to the speakers. On the wall next to the kitchen entry, I plan to add a few panels at that first reflection point as well.
