My most awesome Goodwill score ever!

So, I was at work today getting terribly hungry. I decided to make a run to Wendys to grab a quick burger. It just so happens that I had to drive by the local Goodwill and I made a quick turn into the parking lot...why not, I can have as much lunch break as I want now.

I made a brief stop by the electronics dept and saw pretty much nothing. An old Soundesign "stereo" and a small pair of optimus speakers....blah. Moving on. I then hit up the record table. Looked like nothing special, the same old christmas, gospel, Herb Alpert, and Ray Conniff.

As I was skimming through the tubs a voice came from behind me. "I have more records", the lady with the Goodwill badge said. She had a shopping cart full of albums and parked them to the side and told me to feel free to go through them. I took a couple steps over to the cart and just about crapped myself! It looked like somebody's personal collection!

There was Beatles, Dylan, Jefferson Airplane, Hendrix, Kinks, Velvet Underground, Neil Young, Grateful Dead, Stones, Doors, etc.... I was in heaven. And the vinyl itself was all in great shape! I pushed the whole cart to the register. 116 albums for $35! After I got home and started going through each one and checking the Goldmine guide, It appears that I have virtually all early pressings. Some of the Grateful Dead and Stones (and others)are Mono even!

I did the happy dance all the way out the door.
I included a couple pics of just a few of them.

I now officially love Goodwill!

    Awesome find. Congrats!!

I'll take that and enjoy it with a sh** eating grin!
I see people make great grabs at Goodwill and other thrift shops and wonder why I never find anything even half decent. I think I'll be hitting these places a little more often from here on out

Good score. You picked the best time to go by there. They usually put the stuff out during the day. If you go by after work, most of the good stuff is gone. You're going to starve to death now with no lunch.

What a haul! If you have duplicates of any of those... let me know. Check that copy of Yesterday and Today. If it is an early enough copy, you may have a "second state" Butcher Cover on your hands.

I've found a couple tings at Goodwill over the years but not much. What I hate is when I find a pair of speakers, one of them mint condition while the other one is trashed. Very frustrating. Or a nice old receiver with no tubes, or no knobs or something missing that is sorta hard to find. I tend to stick to estate sales and a yard sale depending on size and location.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

No such luck. That was the first thing I checked when I seen Capital on the cover. As I slid the album out I realized it was the Apple/Capitol version (Apple label) with "Mastered by Capitol" in the deadwax.

I picked up a Carver TFM35x from a fellow forum member. More than happy with it, but looking to upgrade so that I can move this amp to the spare room with the Monitor 10's and the Dynaco pas2 pre. I am currently running a vintage Kenwood integrated with matching tuner through the 10's....but I have 2 pair of 10's.

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
