Nope but it's sharp looking with nice lines and interior. Good luck.

Still too new to tell. Hop they have worked out some of the regular Chrysler bugs like build quality, transmission issues, weak brakes. Shall I go on?

I like Chrysler cars but there QC has been a bit sad for the last few years.

I was close to picking up a 300 myself, lots of bang for the buck. Decided to switch gears and go with the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have a few friends that own 300's and like them very much.

I would always wait a year or two before buying ANY new model vehicle.

Chrysler's QC and overall quality has been abysmal for decades :-( (IMNSHO, of course)... I suspect that's why they've flirted with extinction since the late 1970s...

The problem is the Jeep brand is in there basket as well. My buddy has the new V6 engine in his jeep and it has compression issues on two cylinders. It only has 36,000 miles. How pathetic.

Yeah, heard just as many awful comments about the Jeep brand as well.

Not to pile on and ruin Steve's parade, but I haven't heard anything but poor comments about the Jeep brand.

But then I've owned Volkwagens all my life and they have their haters too, and I have experienced little in the way of issues compared to the negatives out there over the years.

Me neither but I'm sure he did his research like any good Polkie. Hey, every brand has losers and winners, as well as a reputation for this or that....it happens and you have to accept it. As long as it gets you to location B, you have success.

I agree, I have had VW's for the last 14 years and compared to some cars in my past they have been some of the most reliable vehicles. My current Golf has 318,000 miles on it.

I've owned Dodges since 1992, never a problem. It's like anything, you only hear the "bad" stuff.

I'm aware of past Jeep issues, the 2011 however, is the first Fiat/Chrysler "go at it" and it appears the '11 is almost a total redesign. I'm not a serious off-roader either, which I'm sure accounts for a ton of problems that Jeep owners have. The 2011 GC is the only Jeep to get the new makeover, the other models get their update for 2012 model year (Wrangler, ect.). The 2012 Wrangler will feature the 2011 GC's Pentastar 3.6l V-6 engine (290hp/240 lb/ft of torque).

My x had a (new at the time) 1992 Cherokee (back when they looked boxy). We had no issues with that truck, and drove it for 8 years before trading it in. It was the 4.0 liter V-6; my only complaint with it was the squirrely steering on long highway drives--but we never had a mechanical issue. It saw some gravel/mountain road driving, camp site trails etc, but no serious trail riding.

The Chrysler 200 has been around for a while....as the Chrysler Sebring.

You may want to see if there're enough differences between the two.

I think being able to get you back home to A is important too. Something our last Chrysler product often failed to do.

In our extended family, we have owned about 8 Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products over the last 12 years. Normally keeping each vehicle about 7 to 8 years. I constantly read about quality issues, but all we have had to do is change the oil and air filters, rotate/replace tires, and on 1 Jeep and 1 Dodge we have a problem with the power window for the driver's side door. Each time it was covered under warranty, and the car was in and out of the shop in a couple hours. From a quality standpoint, I don't think I can ask for better than that experience over the last 12 years.

Ended up buying it. Tried out a Chevy Cruise, and In my opinion, it was a better car. Road better, handled better, and quieter. Plus it had built in GPS.

I have rented Cruzes a couple of times recently while on business trips... and they're OK cars, but only OK; they seem to get more hype than they really deserve.

    Hope you love the 200!

I think most car companies (at least the US ones) have issues nowadays with (automatic) transmissions - they're phenomenally complicated gizmos under the best of circumstances... and the quality of some of the parts used in them in recent years (the past decade or more) just aren't adequate for the long haul. E.g., we had a 1998 Windstar in which the automatic transmission failed catastrophically at about 165k miles (which I thought was too early) and wasn't, in our view, worth the expense of service; so we gave the car to Goodwill or someone like that.

At one point the cars were OK and the trucks were having these issues but in the last few years it is across the board. Sorry to hear you had these troubles too.

I will say, I love the styling of the new Charger and of course the Challenger, I just don't want to be challenged as an owner. Sorry had to use the pun.

the 200 is what the last sebring should have been. basically its the mid car platform Chrysler finally did right (at least looks wise) heard it handles pretty darn nice with a smooth ride too.

Too bad, as they were nice cars; issue was with execution more than design (wasn't it?)

It handled razor sharp, had lots of torque & pep - it was a reliability nightmare.
