I searched for a post similar to this but was unable to find.
my home is 2 stories. i want surround sound in one room on the first floor and one room on the second floor. i would like to have overhead sound like if i am entertaining throughout the house (6 rooms). please advise what i need to from wire to hardware. i have a good size budget and would like to have a good surround package. ceilings are 14 foot high and rooms are about 20 x 20

Is the house already built? Not an easy task if it is and didn't get prewired for in-ceiling speakers.

thanks for the response...my walls are brick which may limit what i can do for rear speakers.
i do not game. i guess what i need to know is what components do i need....
receiver, center channel...etc
