I bidded for a Martin Logan Matinee center channel and got outbid because I suck and dont have a sniper program running like most of you guys here .

Long story short , I get a pm in the ebay inbox saying I had a second chance bid with the item in a private buy it now listing . I contacted the seller and hustled some more off the price and I got a $1599 speaker demo for peanuts

I had no idea about second chance until now .Has any of you guys here been fortunate to score a second chance deal on the bay

The seller probably had someone bidding to drive the cost up and when his bidder ended up winning and of course was not gonna buy it and you happened to be the next highest bidder thus the second chance. It happens all the time.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

Or if you're slightly less cynical someone just flaked on paying, which also happens all the time.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

That is a great buy! It is amazing of what one can get for so little sometimes. My friend just bought a pair of Mirage M490s in really good shape for 55 bucks from some guy on Craig's List. Met him at a Walmart parking lot. Kinda shady, but.....
