Sony pfr-v1 headspeakers
That's right. If you don't know about these, they are essentially a pair of speakers hanging on your head.
They actually have a "soundstage". It is tiny. They do sound like a pair of nearfield monitor speakers properly setup on a desk.
Had them for two days. Never heard better under $200. For gaming, movies, tv shows? Crazy. Completely different sound signature. Not headphone and not quite speaker.
Directional sound is uh deadly. I died 5 times in 4 rounds in BFBC2. Like having a permanent UAV.
Watching Archer on Netflix is a joy. Voices sound natural. Yeah. People say they are bright and tinny. nope. they play to the source. Some things DO sound tinny, then you play a nice recording or a movie and wow. No more of that. Full sound with more detail than normal for gear at this price. Not epic quality but very good overall.
My wife was listening to the Beatles Rocky Racoon and she lit up and said, "I am hearing things that I never did before." A good sign.
So not the be all end all but if you are looking around for something like this, they are $150-180 now. Used to be $500.
