Hello guys,
I currently own two n22 integrated amps by audio engine. This little amps have a lot of power for their size and can move any bookshelf and not take a lot of electricity.

I was wondering if I could use them bridged to use them as mono block for my rtia7 towers, just to see what happens.

I do not know how to bridge hence the reason for the thread

Thanks,

Eduardo

Test the negative terminals for continuity. What you have in mind is generally a bad idea, but if it's not common ground, it definitely won't work.

I would just biamp instead. If you do get zero resistance on the negative terminals, you'll have to get a phase inverter for each channel to move forward with this idea.

Is there a switch on the back to put the amp into bridged mode? If yes then you can bridge it. If not then you cannot bridge it.

At the Blu-ray forum, they have some basic instructions on how to bridge (http://forum.blu-ray.com/receivers/123007-guide-amplifiers.html just search for bridging).

The important thing is that each amp channel would see half the load (i.e., for 8 ohm speakers, you would need amps that are stable at 4 ohms).

Looking around the web I doubt that little guy is bridgeable.

I would use them to biamplify something at the most.

CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER! They will know for sure whether it can be done or not, and I won't try it without talking to them first. You should be able to get an answer pretty quickly, and most manufacturers are more than willing to help.

    got it guys,

i will contact them and see what they say. i will say this the audioengine p4 are 4 ohm and the little amp can push them to a very reasonable level.

at half the volume it made a pair of rti4 Very loud so even though is a small amp i feel it has a good punch.

i have two of these amps and was just playing with the idea but since they are both boxed at the moment (one i have never used) i might put them for sale.

let's see how it develops and thanks again for all the input
